Our experience. Maryville was the first nonprofit addiction agency to open in the state of New Jersey and is recognized as a leader in the treatment of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. For 75 years, our holistic, evidence-based treatment approaches have helped bring hope, health and healing to those suffering from opioid, alcohol and other addictive substances.
We are licensed by the state of New Jersey, accredited CARF International (the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), and a member of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers. Our treatment programs make sustainable recovery possible through individualized treatment plans and ongoing support services. Maryville staff devote themselves each day to helping people with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders reclaim their lives and maintain long-term recovery.

Our accessibility. Outpatient programs in Turnersville and Vineland are accessible by public transportation as well as through telehealth. Additionally, our inpatient programs, located in Williamstown and Pemberton, are able to coordinate transportation when necessary.

Everything we do is driven by our mission to help individuals and families improve their health and wellness by providing high quality integrated mental health, physical health, and substance use treatment, recovery supports, and education. Maryville is a private, non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. History
Founded in Williamstown, New Jersey in 1949 by Father A. Bennett Conway to help alcoholic men become sober, Maryville Integrated Care has evolved over the years to offer a full continuum of care to adults and their families. Today, the 80-bed Williamstown Campus houses medically monitored withdrawal management and short-term residential treatment for men and women. In 1979, Maryville opened its first outpatient office, now operating in Turnersville, followed by the Vineland office in 1998. Also in 2018, Maryville assumed operation of Burlington County’s 54-bed residential addiction treatment facility for men, now known as Post House at Maryville, which offers withdrawal management, short-term, and long-term treatment. Throughout its treatment continuum, Maryville provides co-occurring treatment for individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders, via licensed counselors and Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs). Maryville also offers Medication Assisted Treatment via APNs and physicians.
Maryville served as Gloucester County’s designated Intoxicated Driver Resource Center provider for thirty years. We are the addiction services provider for the Burlington County HOPE One mobile unit, partnering with the Sheriff’s Office, Health Department, and Department of Human Services to bring education, screening, peer support, naloxone, and direct treatment access to the community. Last year, with funding from Camden County, Maryville developed partnerships with two Camden City homeless shelters, basing a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist onsite once a week to conduct assessments and recovery support services. This creates easier and swifter access to the treatment many shelter clients need but often won’t access on their own. Maryville hopes to expand this to other counties and shelters in the future.
Governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees, the organization employs over 160 individuals and holds more than 30 contracts with 14 entities including The New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Federal Probation, Intensive Supervised Probation (ISP), Veteran Administration, Medicaid/DXC, and the Counties of Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Mercer, Ocean and Salem.

Maryville serves youth ages 11-17 in its Turnersville and Vineland outpatient programs, as well as via teleheath. Individuals must have a primary substance use disorder and may have a co-occurring mental health disorder. Transportation coordination is available. Call 855-823-3428
No, men and women have separate facilities with gender-specific programming.
Treatment duration depends on a number of factors and will be determined based on individual assessment and the corresponding appropriate level of care.
Average lengths of inpatient stays are 5 days for Medical Detox, 14 days for Short-term Treatment, and 90 days for Long-term treatment.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP) averages 8-12 weeks and Outpatient averages 6-8 weeks.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is available to both inpatient and outpatient clients and may last indefinitely. Upon discharge from inpatient services, clients may continue their MAT treatment through a Maryville outpatient site or may be referred to the provider of their choice.
Yes, all of our treatment programs offer co-occurring mental health treatment with Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) and licensed counselors.

Yes, Maryville will coordinate treatment with your Methadone provider.
Our outpatient programs offer telehealth services, helping reduce barriers to treatment.
Visitation may occur in the Long-term Treatment program after 30 days, in coordination with the client’s counselor. Visitation does not occur in the Detox and Short-term Treatment programs, so clients may focus on their recovery.
Clients may make a phone call within the first 24 hours of admission. After that, weekly calls may be scheduled beginning on the 8th day of treatment.
We are unable to accommodate incoming calls, texts, or e-mails to patients. Letters may be mailed to patients during their time with us.
