Below are the types of substances our drug rehab in NJ addresses.
Opioids
Opioids are a common type of drug that healthcare providers prescribe for pain relief. However, opioids have a high potential for addiction, even when someone is initially taking the drug according to the prescription. The most common types of drug abuse we treat include the following:
- Heroin
- Oxycontin
- Vicodin
- Codeine
- Morphine
Our drug rehab in NJ includes multiple types of treatment so you can receive the addiction treatment services best suited for your needs. Whether you choose residential or outpatient treatment, we can help you achieve recovery from your drug abuse.
Alcohol
Alcohol addiction or Alcoholism manifests in different ways. For example, this disease might include heavy drinking every day, or it might involve binge drinking followed by a period of sobriety.
Potential signs of alcohol addiction include the following:
- Increased quantity or frequency of use
- Drinking at inappropriate times
- Dependence on alcohol for daily function
- Depression or other mental health issues in conjunction with alcohol use
At Maryville Integrated Care, we’ll help you find freedom from your alcohol addiction so you can reclaim control of your life.
Methamphetamines
Methamphetamines are highly addictive drugs that affect the central nervous system. This type of drug abuse can lead to severe dental problems, memory loss, extreme weight loss, and paranoia, among other consequences.
Common types of methamphetamine addictions we treat with our drug rehab in NJ includes:
- Meth
- Crystal
- Ice
- Speed
- Adderall
Cocaine/Crack
Cocaine is an illegal substance that produces feelings of euphoria. However, the drug has substantially harmful effects on nearly every part of the body. Once you begin taking cocaine, it often leads to substance abuse because your brain receives abnormal dopamine levels, which reprograms its reward system. This results in the need for a higher quantity of drugs to achieve the same high you experienced before.
Marijuana
While commonly believed to be a harmless drug and now legal in many states, marijuana can lead to a substance use disorder. This disorder appears as a dependence on the drug that can result in withdrawal symptoms when usage stops. If you can’t stop using marijuana despite its negative impacts, you likely have a substance use disorder that requires drug treatment.
Benzodiazepines
Also referred to as sedatives or tranquilizers, benzodiazepines are typically prescribed for anxiety, insomnia, and seizures. When taken in higher volume or longer than prescribed, or when withdrawal symptoms are present, it’s possible the drug has led to addiction.
The most common types of benzodiazepines we treat at our outpatient treatment program in Washington Township, NJ include the following:
- Valium
- Xanax
- Klonopin
Fentanyl
Fentanyl is a synthetic painkiller that is cheaper to produce than other painkillers. Cheap production and high potency put the user at higher risk for abuse and overdose. Fentanyl has harmful physiological effects such as hallucinations, depression, weight loss, and death.
Types of Addiction Treatment
At Maryville Integrated Care, we understand that no two people and no two addictions are the same. Our staff will talk with you to determine the most appropriate level of care whether you struggle with drug or alcohol addiction. A Maryville counselor will conduct a thorough assessment before beginning substance abuse treatment, partnering with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that prioritizes your goals. Together, we will determine the path of recovery that fits you best to encourage long-term recovery from alcohol or drug addiction.
You can access addiction treatment services on a residential and/or outpatient basis. Below, we’ll outline each of our rehab options so you can better understand what we offer at Maryville Integrated Care.
Medication Assisted Treatment
Medication Assisted Treatment, or MAT, is an evidence-based practice that uses medication and behavioral therapy to help relieve withdrawal symptoms during the detox process of drug addiction, as well as ongoing cravings after detox. MAT is typically part of an individually tailored treatment plan that assists our clients in achieving sustainable recovery. It may be used as part of a long-term plan if desired.
MAT is proven to have many benefits, including improved survival rates, increased retention in treatment, increased ability to gain and maintain employment, and more.
At Maryville Integrated Care, we provide FDA-approved Suboxone and Vivitrol in combination with individual and group therapy. MAT is offered at all levels of care in our NJ treatment programs.
Medically Monitored Withdrawal Management (Detox)
Our inpatient addiction treatment in Williamstown, NJ includes medically monitored withdrawal management. This allows you to detox from drug and alcohol addiction safely while medical professionals monitor your progress and help to make you more comfortable. Our detox has physicians available as well as a 24-hour onsite nursing department to ensure you are well cared for, no matter the time of day.
While in our detox program, you’ll receive individual counseling to help promote mental health and long-term recovery. We also offer peer support services so you can talk with someone who understands what you’re going through.

Residential addiction treatment provides a structured setting where you are away from distracting factors that could negatively impact your treatment and recovery. Maryville has two residential facilities. Maryville’s Williamstown, NJ campus serves both men and women in separate living quarters and is located on 40 wooded acres in rural Gloucester County, offering the opportunity for substance abuse treatment to occur in a peaceful, natural environment.

Outpatient/Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
During outpatient and intensive outpatient addiction treatment, you are able to attend treatment while continuing to meet your day-to-day life responsibilities. Outpatient and IOP operate similarly, with IOP consisting of more frequent treatment sessions. With outpatient locations in Turnersville and Vineland, NJ, group and individual counseling as well as Medication Assisted Treatment services are available in-person and via telehealth.
You will have a choice of morning or evening groups; and individual sessions will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time. These options for our addiction treatment services help eliminate barriers such as transportation, child care, and health-related concerns.
