Spanish Speaking Services

At Maryville Integrated Care, we tailor care to the unique needs of our clients. Recognizing that our Hispanic/Latino/Caribbean and the broader Spanish-speaking community are at increased risk for addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders, we have developed specialized outpatient programming to help.

Hispanic/Latino/Caribbean and the broader Spanish-speaking community often face social pressures, discrimination, isolation, and limited access to services that can worsen or trigger substance use and co-occurring mental health issues. The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism reports that approximately 9.5% of Hispanics and about 13.8% of non-Hispanic white individuals experience alcohol dependence at some point in their lives. But 33% of Hispanics who develop alcohol dependence have persistent problems, compared with 22.8% of non-Hispanic whites individuals. In addition to the increased alcohol consumption among Hispanics who choose to drink, a higher rate of binge drinking in this population seems evident.

Our in-person accessible treatment services in Vineland is a haven for Hispanic/Latinx/Caribbean clients. Led by a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced in Hispanic/Latino culture and alternative lifestyles, our program offers the following benefits:

  • Individual counseling: By participating in individual therapy geared toward unique cultural issues, you can discuss your experiences, challenges, and needs in a nonjudgmental environment.
  • Transportation coordination: We help remove logistical hurdles by arranging transportation to and from treatment if needed.
  • Co-occurring mental health services: We have a licensed psychiatric nurse on our staff to conduct psychiatric evaluations and determine the best course of action for your specific needs.
  • A safe place for everyone: We understand that many people are concerned about seeking treatment. At Maryville, we are committed to providing a safe and affirming environment. Our compassionate staff and inclusive recovery support community encourage and help you feel less alone.

Let Maryville be your beacon of hope, understanding, and healing as you take steps toward a healthier, happier life.
